It is estimated that 50% of prescriptions dispensed annually are not taken correctly and that 30% of all hospital admissions for people over the age of 65 are directly attributable to medication non-compliance. The Med-Ready automated medication dispenser provides a simple yet secure method of insuring the correct medications are taken at the proper time every time.

All medications that are to be taken at a certain time are contained within a single tray. This convenience eliminates patient confusion over which medications and amounts they should take.  Four daily alarm settings allow for one to four weeks of medication storage. Since most patients take medications twice daily, morning and evening, on average 14 days of medication are stored in the Med-Ready dispenser.  Medications are secured with a lock and key.

Current medications are available until the tray rotates to the next alarm setting and the audible alarm sounds notifying the patient it is time for their medications. Alarm will sound for 30 minutes or until the patient removes the medications from the tray. If after 30 minutes the medications have not been removed the provider will be notified by email or telephone call if these additional services are requested.
